Proud to be on the holding side of my Boycott Redacted poster!

As many of you know most of my friends and I have liberal tendencies, so it should come as no surprise when I crossed into the light of being a supporter of our military, and a member of GOE I still run into some of them.

Today I was walking back and forth in front of the Mayan Theater with my Support the Troops/Boycott Redacted poster and ran into one of my liberal friends on the opposite side of my boycott sign. After a hug and a hi, he told me he was actually heading in to see Redacted, his nephew was one of the stars and he wanted to view the movie for that reason. "Thats great", I replied and thought "do I ask if his nephew portrays one of the rapists"? I didn't ask him. (but the bio from the movie information says he is).

His next question was "So you don't believe in Freedom of Speech?" --- "Oh yes", said I "that's why I'm carrying this sign!"

So while I am very proud of my husband for going down to 8 showings of this film, I think this one I went to was the most fun. Supporting the troops can bring real pleasure to your day. It is OK for people to do what they need to do, and it is OK for me to have a differing opinion. I don't hug every person going in to see Redacted, but friends are still friends.

I wrote Christmas Cards for the Troops this weekend and told them we aren't forgetting them through the hustle and bustle of our preparations, this month. We are still here and supporting them. I hope that what I say while exercising MY Freedom of Speech makes them proud to be defending me.

note from mtngrandpa --- He identified himself as a liberal with his question "So you don't believe in Freedom of Speech"? --- Purchases a ticket to Redacted, and gets a hug from mtngrandma in front of the theater we are boycotting? What's up with that? Is this part of a "Hug A Liberal program?? HALP???

Well...hugging a moonbat is ok as long as you got your point across. I would be inerested in his take on the "movie".

Nice work you guys are doing in Colorado! I'll be snowed in by noon....hehehe!
