We’ve been experiencing a dramatic lull in moonbat activity these past months, but make no mistake they have NOT gone away! Since the war in Iraq has taken such a dramatic turn for the better, they have had to come up with a new cause to fire up their incredulous followers.

Saturday, August 2nd they will erupt again in force with their new Anti-American screed of the day!

Stop War On Iran - http://stopwaroniran.org

They are calling on all of their minions to get out that day across the nation to protest against a possible attack on the Iranian nuclear weapons facilities.

The primary location for this action is Times Square, NYC, at the Armed Forces Recruiting Station, but smaller actions will take place across the U.S..

We have enjoyed our vacation from the madness long enough. It’s time to take to the streets again to counter this new onslaught of moonbat mania! If you can get to Times Square on August 2nd before Noon you’ll find us at the recruiting station. If not, check the moonbat local activity page below for any protests they plan in your area of operations, then gather together patriots to oppose them. Do NOT let them get free air time on the media unopposed!

Vets for Freedom Releases Second “Four Months, For Victory” TV Ad

Our warriors on the ground—Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines—understand their role is not to set policy, but instead to execute the mission set before them. And in doing so, despite the defeatist sentiment emanating from Capitol Hill, they kept moving forward, took the fight to our enemies…and the surge worked. “Some in Washington” highlights these important facts.

Vets for Freedom Announces Multi-Million Dollar Television Campaign; Launches “Four Months, For Victory” Targeted Grassroots Effort Aimed at Increasing Public Support for Victory in Iraq and Afghanistan

Today, Vets for Freedom launched a national “Four Months, For Victory” media and grassroots campaign. The effort, which kicked off July 4,will conclude on Veterans Day (November 11).

The launch kicks off a series of multi-million dollar television-advertising buys in select markets and on national cable that will air throughout July and August. Simultaneously, and through Veterans Day, Vets for Freedom will mobilize our grassroots veterans membership throughout the country to spread the facts—the “ground truth”—about progress in Iraq and Afghanistan and the need for victory in these conflicts.

The “Four Months, For Victory”grassroots effort will take place in all 50 states, and will focus aggressively in 12 target states that are home to key lawmakers. The Vets for Freedom State Captains in these states—MN, IA, WI, MI, PA, NV, NM, MO, CO, OH, FL, VA— have staff and resources available to mobilize local veteran volunteers. Veterans in these states will be organizing citizens, holding events, pounding the pavement and spreading the word—through print and broadcast—that victory in Iraq and Afghanistan can be, and is being, achieved.

Vets for Freedom has several television ads in the queue; all of which will be running through August and will feature Iraq and Afghanistan veterans from all ranks and branches of service. The first ad—“Finish the Job”—begins airing today and can be viewed at www.VetsforFreedom.org. All the ads are aimed at informing the American people about the facts regarding progress in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Vets for Freedom will not stand by and let the incredible progress of our troops go unnoticed by the American public and lawmakers from either side of the aisle. During the four month countdown to Veterans Day—while Americans are paying attention—we’ll have a megaphone and we’re going to use it,” said Iraq war veteran and Vets for Freedom Chairman Pete Hegseth.  “It is essential that our next Commander in Chief—regardless of party—understands the importance of victory in Iraq and the consequences of defeat. As veterans, we are compelled to fight for those still overseas; and for the next four months, our battlefield is the airwaves, newspapers, and neighborhoods…and we are hitting the ground running.”

WHERE/WHEN: July 9 @ 10:00 a.m. in the Murrow Room at The National Press Club (529 14th St. NW, 13th Floor, Washington, DC 20045). Veterans featured in the ads as well as the State Captains from the 12 target states will be in attendance and available for interviews at the conclusion of the event.

For interviews, contact the individuals above. For more on Vets for Freedom and “Four Months, For Victory” campaign, visit www.vetsforfreedom.org

Winning Isn’t News

By INVESTOR’S BUSINESS DAILY | Posted Monday, July 07, 2008 4:20 PM PT

Iraq: What would happen if the U.S. won a war but the media didn’t tell the American public? Apparently, we have to rely on a British newspaper for the news that we’ve defeated the last remnants of al-Qaida in Iraq.

—–

London’s Sunday Times called it “the culmination of one of the most spectacular victories of the war on terror.” A terrorist force that once numbered more than 12,000, with strongholds in the west and central regions of Iraq, has over two years been reduced to a mere 1,200 fighters, backed against the wall in the northern city of Mosul.

The destruction of al-Qaida in Iraq (AQI) is one of the most unlikely and unforeseen events in the long history of American warfare. We can thank President Bush’s surge strategy, in which he bucked both Republican and Democratic leaders in Washington by increasing our forces there instead of surrendering.

We can also thank the leadership of the new general he placed in charge there, David Petraeus, who may be the foremost expert in the world on counter-insurgency warfare. And we can thank those serving in our military in Iraq who engaged local Iraqi tribal leaders and convinced them America was their friend and AQI their enemy.

Al-Qaida’s loss of the hearts and minds of ordinary Iraqis began in Anbar Province, which had been written off as a basket case, and spread out from there.

Now, in Operation Lion’s Roar the Iraqi army and the U.S. 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment is destroying the fraction of terrorists who are left. More than 1,000 AQI operatives have already been apprehended.

Sunday Times reporter Marie Colvin, traveling with Iraqi forces in Mosul, found little AQI presence even in bullet-ridden residential areas that were once insurgency strongholds, and reported that the terrorists have lost control of its Mosul urban base, with what is left of the organization having fled south into the countryside.

Meanwhile, the State Department reports that Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s government has achieved “satisfactory” progress on 15 of the 18 political benchmarks — a big change for the better from a year ago.

Things are going so well that Maliki has even for the first time floated the idea of a timetable for withdrawal of American forces. He did so while visiting the United Arab Emirates, which over the weekend announced that it was forgiving almost $7 billion of debt owed by Baghdad — an impressive vote of confidence from a fellow Arab state in the future of a free Iraq.

But where are the headlines and the front-page stories about all this good news? As the Media Research Center pointed out last week, “the CBS Evening News, NBC Nightly News and CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 were silent Tuesday night about the benchmarks” that signaled political progress.

The war in Iraq has been turned around 180 degrees both militarily and politically because the president stuck to his guns. Yet apart from IBD, Fox News Channel and parts of the foreign press, the media don’t seem to consider this historic event a big story.

I spent some time at Walter Reed last Friday Night with the D.C. Freepers that counter the Code Pinko every Friday night.

It was a blast to stand with people that help keep the Pinko’s at bay from the main gates of Walter Reed.

I recommend that if in D.C. on a Friday night to go enjoy some good old Support the troops people.

Mount KIA/MIA dedication

Villa Grove Colorado - Americans came together last weekend to dedicate Mount KIA/MIA south of Villa Grove in Saguache County.

The Mountain Mail - Ute Tribe chairman Ernest House, speaking at the ceremony after Hight, said, “It’s just proper we name a mountain after the KIA/MIA”.

“These people must have been tough to endure what they were able to,” he said. “We will never forget what they did to protect our country and how Mother Earth allows us to be able to endure what we need to in order to survive.”

Rich Padoven, American Legion Post 64 commander, said, “I was disappointed in the turnout, but it was a touching ceremony.”

Women Veterans of Farmington NM

Lady Warriors of Farmington NM

Gary and Gerald Artis, twin brothers who served for 26 years in the military before retiring, most of their time in the Special Forces donated the use of their 40 acres of land in the San Luis Valley for the dedication.

Gold Star father Ron Martinez listens as Ute Tribe chairman Ernest House, said, “It’s just proper we name the mountain after the KIA/MIA”. Ron Martinez is the father of Marine Sgt. Glen Martinez. The 31 year old was killed May 2, 2008 in Fallujah, Iraq by a roadside bomb. He was on his second tour of duty in Iraq.

Ryan Gill - Director of Operations, Move America Forward

If you know someone who doesn’t understand why we have 180,000 brave U.S. troops honorably serving in Iraq & Afghanistan , then please share this video with them:

September 11, 2001 - As It Happened - The South Tower Attack

We are approaching the 7-year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and since then Islamic jihadists have not been able to inflict another terrorist attack on American soil. And U.S. troops deserve a lot of praise for this fact. Our troops have al-Qaeda broken into pieces, and their affiliated terrorist groups largely decimated. This is the direct result of our troops’ missions in Iraq & Afghanistan , and around the world (in conjunction with the dilligent work of law enforcement and intelligence agencies).

So please realize that while you are sitting at your chair reading this email, a young man or woman is over in Iraq or Afghanistan, enduring temperatures over 115 degrees, and fighting violent radical jihadists who want to see you and I dead, and our society and values destroyed.

We should say thank you to our troops. In fact, we cannot begin to thank them enough. One small step that we at Move America Forward are taking is organizing the largest shipment of care packages to U.S. troops in history. You can do your part by sponsoring care packages for our troops here:

http://www.thecampaignstore.com/store/default.asp?parentid=409

Thank you for doing this one, small, decent act on behalf of our military men & women.
